Neil Pearson's Professional Pain Care Distance Mentorship Program
A guided mentorship program that focuses on three domains:
-
- Understanding the physiology of the human in pain,
- Understanding the lived experience of pain, and
- Understanding pain management.
Pain management is framed as including self-management, opioid and non-opioid medications, medical interventions, and therapeutic interventions. Self-management is at the heart of this mentorship, with knowledge being the foundation for patient engagement, whether provided through movement, story, contemplative experiences, or the more traditional verbal and written education.
